We have recently discovered fraudulent emails circulating with the following subject line:
■Notification Regarding Use of Copyrighted Content on Website XXXX.”「處理在網站 XXXX 上使用受著作權保護內容之行為的通知。」
■The body reads:“We are MUSA Trademark, the legal representative of MÜST (Music Copyright Society of Chinese Taipei) in Taiwan. After review, we found your content on Facebook involves works of our partners, for which you have not obtained proper authorization.”「我們是 MUSA Trademark，為 MÜST（中華音樂著作權協會）在台灣地區的合法代表人。經審查後，我方發現貴單位於 Facebook 平台展示之內容涉及我方合作單位之著作，惟尚未獲得正式授權。」
📍Please be advised that MUSA Trademark does not handle or conduct any such copyright enforcement on behalf of MÜST.
📍The email is a scam, and its content is entirely false to mislead recipients into clicking malicious links.
📍The sender’s address is not our official info@musa-trademark.com but an “@gmail.com” account; the only place you’ll see info@musa-trademark.com is in the body as a contact address.*
Please pay attention to the following:
🚫Do Not Click Any Links or Download Attachments
These fraudulent emails may contain malware. If you have not opened them yet, delete them immediately. If you have clicked anything, run a full antivirus scan and notify your IT department.
✅Verify Authenticity
Since these scammers actually used an “*@gmail.com” address to send their messages—and only listed info@musa-trademark.com inside the email body—please don’t judge legitimacy solely by the displayed contact email.
If you receive any email claiming to be from “MUSA Trademark,” verify through our official channels:
➡️Official Website “Contact Us” Page: Use the phone number, contact form to confirm whether the email is genuine.
➡️ Customer Hotline: Call 02-6601-4888 to speak with our staff and confirm the email’s authenticity.
✅Reported to Taiwan Copyright Association
Because the scam email falsely asserts that we represent MÜST in Taiwan, we have reported this incident to MÜST to prevent further victims.
